Description: | Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provides excellent customer service by greeting, smiling, thanking and providing service to all customers.
Follows pricing policies on product according to requirements for profitability of store operations.
Follows sales promotion activities and prepares, or directs workers preparing, product displays and advertising copy.
Knowledgeable of all legal and safety regulations regarding warehouse and store equipment and consistently abides by and enforces the regulations.
Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales, and recordkeeping procedures and practices.
May be responsible for ordering product to maintain stock levels.
Enforces company policies and procedures.
May assist with completing department schedules.
May assist in coordinating all activities related to procurement of a product beginning with intent to purchase through delivery.
Analyzes the requirements of the product, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date product is needed.
Ices and decorates cakes, desserts, and wedding cakes.
Sets up displays, product presentation and product image.
Ensures quality and freshness of products at all times.
Provides excellent customer service.
Prepares products for selling by packaging and pricing.
Prepares special customer orders.
Controls shrink.
Maintains ornament inventory.
Orders, receives, and stores delivered frozen and unfrozen products.
Maintains product in freezers and coolers.
Operates mixers.
Cleans sales floor and prep areas, (proof box, shaper, ovens, work benches, floors, coolers, freezers and retail displays).
Fills sales floor displays, code dating product, checks code dates, pulls out of date product. Keeps sales floor full and fresh.
Follows food safety, health and workplace safety standards.
| Qualifications: | High School degree or GED equivalent preferred.
Must be at least 18 years of age due to operations of hazardous equipment.
Prior bakery experience required. |
