Description: | Position summary:
Provide technical product support to the sales efforts of the GPS Business Unit. the technical product Support position will allow customers to communicate after the sale with the individual best suited to handle their technical questions and issues.
Essential Duties:
Demonstrate GPS equipment to the customer via coordinated machine and equipment demonstrations
Coordinate demonstrations at customer sites
Train customers on the operation of GPS equipment
Resolve customer issues in a timely manner
Perform back-up sales support
Work with shop personnel to standardize the installation of GPS dealer added components
Provide classroom training and speaking to support NMCi Technology Education Program
Network with technical colleges and state agencies to actively promote GPS products at the points of exposure
Work with NMCi Product Support Field Technicians to improve field repairs and to communicate troubleshooting standards
Communicate with Caterpillar and Trimble, common failure causes and information related to product life
Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of and experience with GPS Products including (but not limited to):
*Caterpillar AccuGrade TGPS/Laser based Products
*Trimble BladePro 2D & 3D
*Trimble GPS/Laser Based Products
*Trimble Base and Rover Products
*Trimble TerraModel Software
*Trimble siteVision Office
*Trimble Survey Controller
*Trimble Virtual Reference Station products
*AutoCAD applications and interfaces
*Cellular Modems
Proficient use of personal computer
Proficient with CAD based software
Proficient with MS Office Software
Ability to operate heavy consturction equipment for the purpose of demonstration and training.
Qualifications:
Associates/ Bachelors Degree in Project Management, Surveying, Engineering or equivalent experience required.
Industry experience desired
Sales experience a plus
Strong written and oral communication required
