| Machine various thickness of metal in a horizontal, vertical or overhead position using automated bore/weld equipment. Use of cutting torch or plasma cutter for fabrication or salvage work. Should be able to use micrometers and other measuring devices. Ability to run machine tooling such as a milling machine or a lathe. The ability to weld various thickness of metal a plus. NMC will train the right person. |
Duties: |
Machine and fabricate heavy equipment using machine tooling such as lathes, mills and mobile bore/weld equipment.
Completes layout from prints and drawings.
Operates and maintains welding equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Required:
Use and knowledge of Microsoft computer products or other comparable systems required. Performs all duties in alignment with NMC core values, mission and vision. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with others to include customers, vendors, employees and the public. Ability to work independently without supervision and overtime with a minimum of notice.
This position requires standing for long periods of time, lifting 75 pounds on a regular basis as well as walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting and leaning.

Qualifications: |
High School diploma or equivalency required. Associate Degree from an accredited school preferred. Extensive experience with machine shop processes required. Three years machine work experience with line boring and ability to read blueprints is preferred. Proficiency or certification as a welder of heavy equipment would be a plus. Current drivers license and acceptable driving record is required.
