Description: | Promote the sale and rental of Heavy equipment for NMC in and around the Norfolk, NE territory.
| Duties: | Promote new and used Heavy Equipment products to customers in assigned territory
Differentiate equipment with features and benefits
Identify sales prospects
Make sales calls to prospects and customers
Establish rapport and maintain contact with customers and prospects
Demonstrate Heavy equipment to customers
Appraise used equipment.
Attend and work trade shows
Assist with scheduling of deliveries of equipment
Complete and process all sales, finance and rental documentation
Forecast annual territory sales.
Promote the sale of Heavy Equipment parts and services to all customers.
Research the benefits and features of the Caterpillar and competitive lines of equipment.
Represent NMC at trade associations when appropriate.
Promote all services of which the NMC offers to customers
| Qualifications: | This position requires excellent customer selling skills with experience in the heavy equipment industry beneficial. Sales experience with proven skills at closing the sale is essential. Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word are preferred. Ability to think analytically and to solve customer problems will be important for the success of this position. Good communication skills – both written and verbal are required. A Bachelor’s degree in a business related field; or an equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education is required. Person must be self-driven, reliable and have high personal integrity. Successful candidate will have the ability to relate to different personalities and know when and how to close the deal.
Person must possess valid drivers license and have a good driving record as described in the company handbook.
The physical demands of this position require the person be able to drive a vehicle and to operate and demonstrate equipment. The work environment will be performed in an office setting, at trade shows, in the company vehicle and at the customers’ locations.
